Jesse Colaizzi is an award-winning documentary producer, senior and lead editor, and director of photography on numerous globally-syndicated science, history and adventure series, including several top-rated specials for Discovery’s Shark Week, including Shark Vs. Snake (2023), Island of the Walking Sharks (2022), The Mystery of the Black Demon Shark (2021), Jaws of Alaska (2021), and Land of the Lost Sharks (2020).

Jesse is also a producer and lead editor for Animal Planet and MAX’s award-winning series Mysterious Creatures with Forrest Galante, and an editor for History’s The Bermuda Triangle: Into Cursed Waters (2022 & 2023). 

In 2023, Jesse won the American Reality Television Award (ARTAS) for Best Editing for his work on Mysterious Creatures with Forrest Galante.

Earlier, he produced and was lead editor for Animal Planet’s Extinct or Alive, History’s Face the Beast, an editor for Vice’s Wet Markets Exposed, Food Network’s Farmhouse Rules, Cooking Channel’s Extra Virgin Americana , and PBS and Create TV’s Pati’s Mexican Table.

Jesse holds an MFA in Film and Digital Technology from Chatham University, an MA in Broadcast Journalism from Point Park University, and a BA in Integrative Arts (photography, filmmaking, and advertising) from Penn State, University Park.  During his time at Point Park University, Jesse founded and started-up their campus television channel, U-View. He is also an avid scuba diver and hunter.
